CST User Guide updates
Clients that use the CST can now ask their Galileo representative for the updated CST User Guide PDF, which provides information on the updated process for Alternate name.
Customer ID type
We updated the customer ID type 6 Matricula Consular Number to 7–15 alphanumeric input.
Product settings reference
We have added a page that shows many of the product settings that you can configure during product setup. It also shows how you can retrieve and view your existing product settings. Use this page to help make your initial decisions before setting up a product.
Enhanced provisioning rules
We have added product parameters that you can set to enable enhanced provisioning rules. These rules help avoid provisioning fraud.
New response field
We added the preferred_lang
response field to the Get Account Overview endpoint.
Updated response code
For Colombia ATM issuer-fee inquiries, Galileo now returns 00
instead of 85
for a successful inquiry. This change was requested by the network.
Dynamic Funding model for secured credit
We've added support for Dynamic Funding, our newest secured credit offering. Dynamic Funding automates funds movement between accounts, creating a model where a cardholder can view a single “available to spend” balance that can be accessed through either their credit or debit card.
We've also added more detail about our existing Two-Account and Three-Account secured credit offerings.
See About Galileo Secured Credit for more details on these different models.
Configuring billing cycles
Galileo offers billing cycles for both consumer and corporate credit products. Each billing cycle configuration can be configured at either the program or product level, according to your business plan and the agreement with your sponsor bank. See Configuring Billing Cycles for details of consumer and corporate billing cycles.
Updated card-transaction scenario
We have updated Scenario 8: Partial Reversal on Authorization. The previous version was predicated on RDFs from 2021, prior to the full-width RDFs, and so key data items such as the reversal ID were missing. This new version shows the reversal ID as well as the AUTH TRANSACTION CODE
in the Authorized Transactions RDF. This new example also reverses an authorization rather than a preauthorization.
AVS-only checks
In the AVS-only checks section of the Authorization guide, we added address verification where if five digits are not provided in the first line of the customer's address, it will feed into the second address line (if available).
Account holder refund update
We updated the workflow diagram in the Account Holder Refund guide to include event messages during the check-issuance process. We also included refund checks in the descriptions of billpay event messages where applicable:
BPCC: billpay_check_cleared
BPCM: billpay_check_mailed
BPEX: billpay_expired
BPCR: billpay_request_returned
Additionally, we removed reference to the BLVF: billpay_limit_violation
event, because it is not triggered when a refund check violates the limit in MCOTB.
Transaction otype update
We added U
(prepaid load reversal) to the list of transaction otypes in the Transaction Types guide.
Get Instant Verification parameter updates
For the Get Instant Verification endpoint, we added the businessName
request parameter, which is required when the acctType: business
. The firstName
and lastName
fields are required when acctType: personal
.
New guide
We added the About Galileo Instant Verification Engine (GIVE) guide, which is a new risk product designed to offer enhanced risk signals for external accounts.
