2025 Year in Review

As we start the new year, let's take a look back at noteworthy updates to our docs in 2025.
In a nutshell: we added 20+ new product guides, documented 38+ new API endpoints and events, and made 300+ other improvements and fixes across docs.galileo-ft.com.
These updates span both new products and existing functionality, and are all in service of providing you and your team with the product knowledge and technical details you need to get the most out of Galileo's platform.
New guides
- Card Network Mandates — Lists and summarizes mandates from card networks that impact Galileo in 2025.
- Co-Brand Debit Application Platform — Contains information about Galileo's new rewards debit card platform and supporting features and services. This is a program managed, full-stack solution, where Galileo acts as an extension of your business.
- Supplemental Data Ingestion for Payment Risk Platform (PRP) — Describes how to send external disputes data to the Payment Risk Platform (PRP). For those who do not process disputes through Galileo but utilize PRP, this provides a crucial feedback loop, enhancing risk signals and fraud detection.
- Dispute API 3.0 — Explains how to use the improved Dispute API, a cloud-based, conversational API that creates and submits disputes to Galileo's dispute platform.
- Creating an API 3.0 Dispute— How to follow the flow-intake sequence to create a dispute.
- Dispute API 3.0 Workflows — Sequence of endpoints to use for each dispute type.
- Managing API 3.0 Disputes — What to do with disputes after they have been created.
- Payment Method Switch
— Describes a simpler way for your customers to switch their stored payment method for various billers, along with details for implementing this product. - Console user guides — These guides describe how to use the Galileo Console to meet common goals such as managing users and configuring products. Access these guides in the Documentation section of the Galileo Console:

- For organizations with Galileo as IdP
- Two-Way Messaging Service for Payment Risk Platform (PRP) — Explains how to use real-time SMS alerts to verify suspicious transactions detected by the Payment Risk Platform.
- Account Linking via Mastercard Data Connect — Explains how to use Account Linking to give your account holders a secure way to connect their external bank accounts, along with details for implementing this product.
- Balance Check — Explains how to use Balance Check via Mastercard Data Connect to perform real-time balance inquiries on linked external accounts before initiating an outgoing ACH debit.
- Roles and Permissions for Galileo Tools — Explains the available roles in the Console and how to assign them.
- Mapping Legacy Right_IDs To New Permissions — Explains how to map your team's existing permissions from the legacy Customer Service Tool (CST) to the new, simplified roles used during the initial rollout phase of the redesigned CST.
- Token Lifecycle Management — Describes the procedure for managing token lifecycles using the Get Card Tokens and Manage Card Token endpoints.
New endpoints and events
- Get Authorized Users provides the option of adding authorized users to a primary cardholder's secured credit account.
- Get Card Tokens retrieves information on tokens associated with a card in a mobile wallet.
- Manage Card Token deletes, suspends, or resumes a single token for a card in a mobile wallet.
- Payment Hub API
- Create External Account Link creates a link from an account at an external bank to the caller account.
- Get External Account Link retrieves a remote account for a specified accountNo.
- Get External Account Link Access initiates a secure, user-facing session for linking an external account.
- List External Account Linksretrieves a list of remote accounts.
- Load External Account Links loads a list of the account holder's external accounts available for linking.
- Modify External Account Link updates an existing external bank account that sends and receives transactions.
- Remove External Account Link removes a link to an account.
- Dispute API 3.0
- 15 Intake endpoints support the initial intake flow, which creates a dispute case.
- 1 Attachments endpoint adds attachments to an existing claim.
- 2 Claim endpoints get a list of claims and claim details.
- 2 Documents endpoints add and retrieve claim-related documentation.
- 4 Tasks endpoints manage information about tasks for a client or claim.
- 1 Disputed Transactions endpointretrieves a list of transactions for a given existing claim.
- 1 Status endpoint retrieves claim details and status.
- Events API

Other noteworthy changes
- New introduction to the docs site — We updated the Introduction to more clearly frame common goals and topics our documentation supports.
- RDF documentation updates
- We updated the Product RDF guide, primarily to add new fields and data types. These are changes to the documentation, not to the RDFs.
- We also migrated our Base RDF databases to a new platform, and some data types values changed as a result.
- Mobile wallets documentation — We documented the new web provisioning and tap-to-provision options, and made significant clarifications to the end-to-end mobile wallets setup process.
- New card load simulations — We added instructions to simulate two types of card loads:
- Authorization response code changes for Visa and Mastercard
- Overhauled Reconciliation guide — The new version of this guide takes into account in-transit items when reconciling daily draw-down amounts.
- New Auth API fields — We added several new fields and objects that were added to the Auth API webhook payload. You can find more detailed information about these fields on the Auth API Field Detail and Payment Risk Platform guides.
