Updates to ACH guides

The ACH at Galileo and Galileo ACH Workflows guides have been updated to more accurately describe hold periods and processing timelines. The changes clarify that hold periods account for potential ACH returns (not denials), introduce the concept of hold hours for more precise fund availability, and update workflow examples to reflect more realistic next-banking-day processing.

Updated field lengths

We updated the field lengths for PRIMARY CARDHOLDERS FNAME and PRIMARY CARDHOLDERS LNAME in the Customer Master RDF from 32 to 40. This is an update to the documentation, not to system behavior.

Discontinued RDF

We have discontinued providing the MC SAFE RDF, which was one of the Service RDFs.

New feature guide

Supplemental Data Ingestion for Payment Risk Platform (PRP) enables you to send external disputes data to the Payment Risk Platform (PRP). For those who do not process disputes through Galileo but utilize PRP, this provides a crucial feedback loop, enhancing risk signals and fraud detection, and will expand to include other data sets for even stronger PRP features, rules, and models. This guide details the feature's capabilities, with further integration information available by contacting Galileo.

Landing page updates

We updated the Galileo Processing docs overview page to better reflect user goals and product offerings.

Federal Benefit Enrollment event updates

We have updated the event descriptions related to FBEs to include triggers and processes and also to clarify the meaning of each event:

Special character removal

From the Special Characters enumeration we removed the single curly right quote and the parentheses from the businessName parameter list. We also removed the single curly right quote from the ACH name parameters.

Digital payment data object

If you subscribe to the Mastercard Expert Monitoring, Fraud Scoring Service, or Decision Intelligence (DI) service and you use the Auth API, ask Galileo to enable the digital_payment_data object which contains results from the Token Authentication Framework (TAF) program. This object contains DE104 and subelements 04 and 05.

New endpoint

We have created the Get Loan Transaction History endpoint, which belongs to the Loan API. With this endpoint you can to retrieve a complete history of the transaction data associated with a particular business or consumer loan.

Introduced external customer ID

Added support for external customer IDs to associate multiple accounts under the same customer. We added externalCustomerId to relevant account endpoints and extcusid to Account Events. See About Accounts for more details on this account identifier and how it maps in the Galileo system.

Updated Auth API examples

On the Version 2 and Version 3 reference pages of the Auth API, we have updated the examples at the bottom of the page.

Token lifecycle management

We specified that Galileo partners directly with card networks like Visa and Mastercard to offer tokenization services. For Visa programs this includes token lifecycle management and the option to automatically delete mobile wallet tokens when a card has been reported as closed, lost, or stolen, ensuring immediate security. See Choose a Card Strategy for more details.
